+1 to that. If you at least got 2500 or 3000 dil from the modified version of the assignment, then it mightn't be so bad. As it stands, it's just a bit of an insult though.

The reason why they have changed this is that people were making to much dilithium off the mission therefore not making the currency as valued. In a way this won't make a difference to the dilithium exchange since the prices should go down for the lesser amount of dilithium.

Umm, apparently the narrow section isn't the dilithium, but fleetmarks.

Sorry, but I just don't see the issue. Doesn't matter if they require 3 contraband, 5, or make it 50... if you don't like it, find a different doff assignment to undertake, or get your dilithium another way.

It's not like it is difficult to come by. Just about everything you do in this game gives you some, some things give more than others, but just about everything gives at least some.

I could be wrong, but I believe that the fastest way to get dilithium is still elite STFs (at about 1100 for 15 minutes of play). Do all three STFs, which will then allow you to start all three over again. If you are looking to just make dilithium, you can rack up huge amounts in a very short amount of time just doing STFs.

But bottom line is that if the devs choose to change that, so what? In the greater scheme of things, it just really doesn't matter.

IMO, turning in contraband for dilithium more than a couple times a day with contraband bought off the exchange is more than a bit "gamey." There are other ways to get your dilithium ore, and you can actually play the game / shoot at stuff while doing so.

ok we all agree that mission sucks and so does slamming various body parts in car doors... the solution to both is simple. if you dont like it dont do it... dilithium mining sucks i hate it it is very tedious and a waste of time for the rewards but you know my solution.. i dont damn well do it. same thing with this mission it sucks i dont do it end of story. they could change it to 500 contraband taking 872 days to give you 10 dilithium and i would not care one bit.

last time i checked you do not need to complete this contraband to dilithium mission to advance in the game i did it once noticed it was not a good mission for what you put in it (and that was before they made it worse) and i never did it again and i have all but recruitment at 150,000/100,000.

unless of course this is just something else in this game that instead of leaving it alone people complain and whine about it. because we all know it is easier for the devs to go into the code and change things and monkey with game mechanics than it is for us just not to bother with the mission....

Good luck with leveling the tiers. I'm in a small fleet and we're floored at the cost. two missions alone requre about 97,000 Dilithium.

THe first one is apparently jsut to get permission to upgrade your base after earning the required 10k specialty experience.

THen there's the actual upgrade mission to, you know UPGRADE the base.

At first I was like. Oh dear, what now but the changes have forced people to go look for the D. I have recently returned to the game after a month or so off it. I got fedup of my fellow fleet members being too busy sitting on the exchange all the time. I wanted to go out ant explore and battle with other fellow minded players. The new starbases and D changes means you have to hunt for you treasue its not dumped on a silver platter for you. I approve. However we need more D rewarding missons and proper 1000D rewarding ones too.

I thought Trek was all about exploring. Not about cheap deals on the echange what are ya? Ferengi's! LOL
