Mine gets as far as character selection. Crashes as it tries to display my characters.

before pressing engage on launcher select options and make sure fullscreen is unchecked or try a force verify, also defrag the game with gamebooster v.3

Been having afew issues and problems withSTO, but its the only game I have and cannot really check if there is a problem with my machine.....so is it safe to say it is not my machine but something that has gone wrong with the update/patch? Not that good with technical stuff, but from reading on various threads it seems there are an abundance of problems? Want to know if I should use the opportunity to uninstall and move on?

I wonder what we all have in common that others do not?

Same issues for myself as well......Starts to load where I left off and crashes. I've done all of the above with no luck on a fix so far.

I've narrowed down my own problem to a bad patch. Which is odd because 2+ days of Forced Verify kept giving the files a green light.

Anyways, uninstalled the game, deleted the directories, then re-downloaded the whole game using the torrent.

Then I replaced the installer's DirectX directory with an up-to-date copy of the DirectX Redistributable from Microsoft.

Re-Installed, let it patch uninterrupted, and everything's okay now.
