Okay, I think it's great that one of the events on Nukara is something that's familiar. But it's super super annoying that it's nearly impossible to get more than five or ten crystals at a time because the Tholians spawn on top of you and start shooting. No matter which of the zones I was in, this happened. What should be a comparatively easy task to setting the scientists trapped inside the rifts free or going down in the secret base actually took me longer to do. AND the big prize is a MEASLY 15 Fleet Marks!!!

Granted, these Fleet Marks were just introduced to the game so I have no idea how difficult it is to get one of them versus 100 of them. I also understand that we're supposed to be using the "expertise" we gain on starbases but I've got literally millions of "expertise" points right now. I'm not playing any missions for that stuff.

At any rate, for something that was so entirely frustrating to accomplish and took an hour of my life, this event was not worth it. At all.

I think the Devs need to either fix the event so that you can't get shot at while you're mining and then increase how much you need to mine or up the reward. Either way, there's a really fine line between something that is difficult to do and something that is so incredibly frustrating to do that you want to kick your computer across the room. This thing isn't even close to that line.

The crystal mining isn't really supposed to be done solo. It's meant to be done with another person or 2, at the very least.

That way, you get the crystals while the others cover you.

This is just blatantly retarded. The prompt doesn't appear until your out of combat, which takes an annoying 10 seconds or so. Then when you're finally able to mine the damn thing, Tholians respawn and, not only interrupts your mining, but also DESPAWNS the node, so when you kill the Tholians attacking you, you can't go back to the node. And you get a measly 5 crystals every time...and you need 500 of these damn things. That's insult to injury.

This mission needs to be removed and replaced with something more feasible. Or make the crystals drops from enemies and lootable objects scattered around the maps instead of an annoying mining game in the middle of a combat zone.

*shakes head* Who in their right mind thought this was actually a GOOD idea? Seriously...

Cooperative game play required...

Group up, 1 mine, others stand guard.

Drop turrets and shieldgens to distract the mobs, maybe even an Engy cover shield to mine behind.

It's really amazing what sort of ideas you can come up with if you apply some critical thinking skills instead of getting all emotional and whining "I can't do it".

the problem with one mine other guard is this: the guard wont get crystals... it is not a team drop like everything else.
I am a good miner, but my fleeties just got bored of defending me, when they had no interest in it. and when I defended they could not get as many, because I am better...

plus the whole nukura thing needs fleetmarks back, because at this point it is pretty pointless, unless I want lots and lots and lots of EV suits (it was funny to listen to the rage when someone got his 15th suit in our run )

Coming from Someone Who is Autistic, As well as being raised threw Eastern Suffolk Boces from elementary to Graduation. I do not find this offensive and believe people need to fight there own fights and let the people with disabilities (unless they are not able to ) fight our own battles. Do not get me wrong, Thank you White Knight Of the Internet. But Even the people with mental issues Actually throw the word loosely Around. We get a very nice kick out of watching people freak out over it. Same with all the other hateful little things in the world. I have been called it my whole life. I laugh it off. So should you. As for the Crystal Mining Event. I hated the damn Dilithium Mining event, I know many that do. What Genius of Cryptics Decided to say " Hey! Lets take an utterly crap event... and... Put it with the tholians .. And.. Make them get attacked at the same time! Lets troll em hard season 6 like they do us on the forums" HRmm who had this conversation? Every other mission is collective. Make the damn crystal one collective also. Put the counter across the Team.

I don't have a problem with a mission that's meant to be played with a group. I have a problem with the reward not matching the difficulty. It's either ridiculously hard and irritating by yourself or you have to run it several times so that everyone in the group gets a shot at the reward. Either way, you're spending way too much time on something that gives you 15 Fleet Marks and a little bit of experience.

Also, even if you drop generators and wait for the Tholians to shoot them out while you mine, they get taken out quickly enough that you don't hit the threshold with the mining to make it possible to get more than five crystals. I was watching that go by constantly (the way I do with the dilithium event) and you have to hit the second of five +25's to get more than 10 crystals out of it.

The biggest complaint I have about the mission is not it's difficulty for the sake of it's difficulty. It's that it's difficult and has a tiny reward.
