Actually I for one would rather see a more prominent display of what side those doffs are one. That tiny color bar along the top, when it works, is very hard for a number of us to tell the difference between.
Of course that would be Cryptic actually believes in customer service and feedback.
weirdly enuff but white doffs show a distict border and you can easily tell which one is which.
for green and upwards it's just a mess... you actually have to right click each doff to double check its faction. The designer must've smoked some serious stuff while doing it... if there were a designer...
Known issue for quite some time and others have complained about it as well. The colors merge for some, especially on the blueish background. Other can't tell colors anyway.
I'll look again tomorrow but before patch white doffs were showing bluish border for feds and reddish for klings, which was nice and usable. Since the exchange search is perpertually borked you'd be better off always using the rarity filter and the rarity related border is somewhat unusable.
but inability to tell the faction of a doff unless closely inspected each and everyone of them is rather annoying.
but then again, so are a lot of things in this game. sometimes I wonder if devs actually use a computer to program it... because well... after 40 years of software development there are some established concepts for a user interface. unfortunately none are found in this game...
