Hello, there.

I wish to create a set of missions for Vice Admirals who enjoy flying their Tier-1 starships.

For space battles, this requires that enemy NPC's be nerfed in some way; and the most straightforward way would be to allow the author to control the Map Level for enemy NPC's. [Just like when one enters a hosted private fleet action in the previous season.]

Deep Space Encounters in Sirius or Regulus are of preset set Map Levels; and the ability to set one's map level would be a very helpful tool to add to the foundry.

Really would be great if we could configure NPCs.

For instance, removing the Romulans having the Thalaron weapons and being just classic Romulans. Or now with S6, the various console abilities added to NPCs.

With ships, you could configure them so small ships would be challenging compared to their normal versions. Or like you suggested, having them weak and easy to kill (like a Future ship easily taking out a ship from the past).

Place a Frigate group. Spread them out so that they're maybe twenty kilometers from each other. Reskin each ship to look like a cruiser/escort/science. Boom, you have cruisers/escorts/science vessels. (be warned, when one of them engages the player, the other two will come to assist).

Place a cruiser group. Reskin the ship to look like a battleship. Boom, you have a battleship.

Place a battleship group. Reskin the ship to look like a dreadnought. Boom, you have a dreadnought.


Anything else?

It was 'no' in some ask cryptic. Don't even dream about it. Just use frigates and fighters for these maps, you can skin them the way you want anyway.
