Something I was thinking that would make this game much better would be to open it up so that the public can make addons. Let the players build and pick what they think would make the game best for them. Get something like the Curse Client at Curse.com to regulate them all. I find myself going back to WoW after playing STO for a while. When I asked myself what draws me back to WoW, its the addons. If STO had addons, it would be perfect.

Bear in mind that STO is based on (mostly) official Trek lore that has to go through CBS.

The EULA for the game also prohibits people from modifying the game code or extracting assets from its files.
