proboly a good idea to make this post, i think thier is a lot of confusion about all this for people still. i got it figured out though!
possible error in the fed ship chart
fleet exploration cruiser- that ship cant use the celestial and envoy costumes if it is also going to saucer separate. also its stats are terrible, but thats got nothing to do with the chart. (terrible you say? well how do i fix that DDIS?)
fleet advanced escort- this ship is currently NOT in the ship store ui still, we have no idea what its station setup of other stats will be yet. it also shows NONE in the bonus category, when it does show up, will it not be able to use the MVAM console?
Thanks for the summary. One thing I'm a bit confused about...I read somewhere that we would have Fleet Light Cruisers (like the Miranda) and Fleet Light Escorts (NX class). Can I assume those plans were cancelled and/or inaccurate?
Very intensive and thorough breakdown of ships. I have to make one small complaint, though. Regarding the discount of Fleet Modules if you've already bought the T5 version -- is it that unreasonable to ask that if you bought lower-tier C-store ships that you get a similar discount as well?
While 75% reduction would be nice, I recognize that wouldn't be entirely fair since T5 ships in the c-store cost more than lower-tier ships, but any discount would be rational and fair, in my opinion. For instance the Fleet Science Vessel (Nova-class) could have a 25% discount, and require only 3 Fleet Modules if you had already bought the Rhode Island refit. I know the conversion rates would not entirely match up. For instance 750 ZEN x 3 = 2,250. Which doesn't quite equal the 2,500 price tag of a top-of-the-line T5 ship.
Still, any discount would be better than no discount at all, even if it's a reduction of just one fleet module.
A Fleet Galaxy Dreadnought Retrofit, with saucer separation and some other goodies would be nice. What ever happened to the Galaxy C-Store Bundle?
IIRC, there was a problem with the coding in the system that was not exactly a trivial thing to fix. The Galaxy bundle would have had the Tier 4.5 Venture Refit, the T5 Galaxy Retrofit, and the Galaxy Dreadnought. However, if you had bought any one of these vessels before you would be unable to claim the bundle. I don't work for Cryptic, so I don't know the exact coding infrastructure -- but while it would appear easy to fix on paper, we were told it was shelved until the systems guys could fix it accurately... and time was better spent working on other broken systems in the game.
