# 1 Black textures

I thought season 6 was supposed to fix this? There seem to be more ships with black textures now than before, and so far, no dev acknowledgment that this is still a problem.

The post got moved.

So there is some sort of acknowledgement there.

I have seen this too, not only on ships, but on boxes and ground areas.

It has to do with the DX10 setting, when you change it to the non-beta setting, it goes away after restart

Not really an acknowledgment, that's just an over active mod moving something to a place where its less likely to be noticed, not a dev.

And switching back to dx9 doesn't really help, sure it fixes some ships, but it breaks others. The Odyssey is particularly bad in dx9.

Could you post a screen shot just for my curiosity's sake? I have not seen any such texture issues on anything and I am using DX10. I have an older video card too, an ATI Radeon HD 4350. My guess would be that this may be a graphics driver issue or as others have mentioned, a DX issue, or both.

Have you tried updating your DirectX as well as updated to the latest drivers for your video card or mayhap even rolling back to a previously working driver?

Also, this is definitely a bug, so moving it here isn't a bad thing. This is where the devs look for non-ticket issued bug reports, even if they do not respond or fix them in a timely manner.
