Section 31 is a large, casual fleet for all types of players. If you're into earning Fleet Marks, STFs, Accolades, or RP then this would be a good fleet for you.
To join: Contact @PhyrexianHero either through a tell or in-game mail. If the fleet is at maximum capacity (500 members), it is first-come, first-serve. We now have an alt fleet called Republic Intelligence!
In canon, Section 31 is officially nonexistent. A clandestine organization with elements hidden with Starfleet Intelligence that protects the security interests of Starfleet and the Federation. Unlike other organizations such as the Tal Shiar and the Obsidian Order, Section 31 is not a branch of any government. The operating authority stems from a provision of the original Starfleet charter (Article 14, Section 31) that makes allowances for "bending the rules" during times of extraordinary threats. Accountable to no one, Section 31 focuses on external threats, and pursues those it identifies by whatever means deemed necessary. They are nowhere, and they are everywhere...
Current Fleet Information (Updated June 15)
Founded: January 28, 2010 (Stardate 87684.30)
Roster: 495+
Typical range of members on at any time: 15-40
Activity: Players may be removed if 6 weeks inactivity
Cross-faction chat channel: s31-ki
Vent server: section-31.typefrag.com / port 4435 (requires password, see fleet Message of the Day)
Please note that this is the original Section 31 fleet, not any of the myriad of similarly named fleets that aren't quite it (sorted by founding date). Often imitated, never duplicated :
The Shipyard Tier 3 is now available (good option for those interested in Fleet Defiants, Fleet Nebulas, or just flying a Nova class) at endgame and we'll have a Tier 3 starbase later this week.
Section 31 has really expanded quite a bit over the last few weeks and you won't believe how many people have commented on how refreshing it is to log on and not only see several fleetmates online (often times double digits) but an active fleet chat to queue for STFs or fleet mark events.
Earlier this week, all Tier 3 facilities are completed (Shipyard, Industrial Fabricator, Communications Array, Transwarp Conduit) along with all other upgrades (Personnel Officer, Security Duty Officer Contact, Personal Tailor, Ship Tailor).
We have over 410 members and welcome anyone who likes active, casual fleets.
Feel free to send a forum message, in-game mail via @PhyrexianHero, or use the Find Fleet window in-game to request an invite.
Just in time for Season 7's first week, we now have Tier 4 shipyard (and are fleet level 13). Come help join over 490 other members in a fun, active casual fleet!
Today Section 31 has finished its Tier 4 starbase (now fleet level 14) and will be starting on the Tier 4 industrial fabricator (engineering) upgrade within a week or so.
The embassy and its two tracks will all be fully Tier 1 and provisioned within the week.
With 10-40 members online at all hours of the day, Section 31 is a great home to active players.
If you want an extremely active fleet (over 475 members active within last 6 weeks) that is fleet level 15 (Tier 4 starbase, shipyard, fabricator) that doesn't spam all over the place (no zone chat messages) and allows new members no hassle access to fleet store, come join Section 31.
Due to space requirements, we currently only have room for about 10 more members. After that new recruitment space will be limited to spots of those who have been inactive for two months.
