Like how high does its turn rate get with 3 or 4 +40% consoles?

I think this will be it...

Basic turn rate = 6
1st RCS +40% = 8,4
2nd RCS +40% = 11,76
3rd RCS +40% = 16,464
4th RCS +40% = 23,0496

you may have forgotten to factor in the diminishing return into your math since if that was the case we would all be likely flying crusiers more than escorts.

well it's not researched, but this:

1 = 8,4
2 = 10,8
3 = 13,2
4 = 15,6

looks much more serious...

I was clearly wrong and you mister are right!

I am trying to calculate the difference but I can't seem to find where Turn Rate is displayed besides what is Under movement (Which is inaccurate I think)

Or else at anything above %25 Impulse I have 75 For my BoP.

How does Gal-X + RCS work?

It doesn't.

I think that basic turn rate is when you're still. But can't say for sure.

And don't forget that turn rate is affected by power and engines.

Anything affecting turn rate by a % effect on something with such a ridiculously low turn rate is utterly useless and a complete waste of the console slot FAR better spent on several other possible options.

Besides, the better Galaxy-X pilots don't require RCS crutches to get the effect they need from their ship. You only need your nose on your target once every three minutes, which with Evasive Maneuvers and Cloak is ridiculously easy.

Other than that, single cannons/turrets offer a 180 degree arc where you are baring 100% of your firepower on your enemy, and single beams offer a 90 degree arc on each broadside of your ship that 100% of your weapons are bare to your target.

1 Ensign and Lieutenant Tactical slots, you shouldn't be mixing and matching hardly at all, other than to add a Trico up front (all other Torpedoes are useless on this ship).

There isn't a reason in the world to justify an RCS on the Galaxy-X.

None.

Ever.

At all.

Period.

you could but then you would completely kill it's ability to tank

ok only a gal-r but same base turn of 6. with how i have my skills set and engine power level at a total of 48 with borg engines it has a turn rate of 8.9 currently

with 1 common mk 11 RCS witch is 32.5% increase (i was not going to waist the money on the +37 ones) it goes to 9.9

with 2 RCS 10.8
with 3 RCS 11.8
and with 4 RCS 12.8

if i max engine power i get 14.8 not worth the loss of armor

You're absolutely correct, though it is even less relevant on the Galaxy-X.

Galaxy-X has a f**king cloak.

If you can't get your nose on your target with a f**king cloak, Evasive, APA, etc etc... WTF?!

Why the f**k are you even USING the Galaxy? You're obviously not skilled enough to make that slow boat work, you should be in an escort or Sci ship.

That said, someone who equips an RCS on ANY Cruiser (especially Galaxy) falls into one of the following categories:

1.) You are an unskilled moron who can't make the best use of your strengths/weaknesses.

2.) You're just a moron who doesn't understand your role in combat.

3.) You're a moron who doesn't understand what mathematical benefits you gain from particular items and why.

4.) You're a moron who by Vice Admiral haven't figured out what makes "sound build design"... Somehow, because I figured that out by LTC in Ker'rat against Klingons REALLY quick.

5.) You're just a moron. Plain and simple.

Take your pick. The end result is the same.

If you're advocating the RCS on the Galaxy, you too fall into one of the above aforementioned.
