# 1 Augmentations!!

Augmentations in star trek online. This is my idea. Star trek space battles and the ships are cool but to get new things and slots you always have to buy another ship :/. SOOO. What about an augmentation slot. Where players buy an augmentation and equip it there such as:
The battle augmentation Add's a extra weapon slots such as the back and front. The Defensive Augmentation which adds an extra Engineering console. The Utility augmentation which adds extra ability slots to your Tactical / science / engineering you can only pick 1 or 2 not sure yet. And the Bridge augmentation <-- not sure of the name but Adds an extra bridge officer of your choosing weather it be a science or a tactical or engineering. Only one ability slot. So looking for some feed back just thought i might share this Thanks. Bravil

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

Customization as well as the ability to obtain extra consoles and boffs slots have been asked for a number of times.

Most of the time, folks point as play balance and that's as far as we go. Not sure if that's the official response but you'll note that we don't have such a feature.

The ship models are very limited in what they can do. With the current system, to add another slot to your current ship would require a completely new ship model. Basically, until Cryptic does a major overhaul to the Game Engine, then our ships will always have their slots stay the same. Which is probably a part of the reason why there are Fleet Ships instead of Fleet Ship upgrades where we purchase this item that adds the bonuses of having a Fleet Ship.

It would be nice to have, but very difficult and time consuming.
