Hi there quick question. I just earnt enough credits to purchase a tier 5 cheyenne as i fancied a new cruiser. My previous c-store ships all show i need 1 ship module to upgrade them when the time comes. However although not a c-store ship does buying the tier 5 version also reduce the amount of ship modules required to upgrade to the fleet ship.

Or have i goofed in buying the tier 5 version and should have gone straight for fleet version.
or do you have to buy tier 5 before fleet version unlocks anyway

Nope, only owned T5 cstore ships give the discount on the fleet ships.

dam so i wasted 200000 fleet credits. Live and learn i guess

I think the refits of earlier ships function somewhere between T4 and T5 vessels in that their stats are sub-T5, but have the similar console and station setups. Though I would obviously prefer the fleet Nova to the refit version, as its station setup drastically cuts down on the lowered (relatively speaking) stats.

And heck, I have 300k+ fleet credits laying around doing nothing, so I wouldn't be averse to nabbing a refit ship if I had the space.
