I want to get that last piece I need to complete my ground set...but it's been nothing but wipes on elites all day.

The sad thing is, I'm slowly finding myself becoming more and more elitist at this keeps going on. It's giving me physical headaches to watch people screw things over that a guide could easily explain. I think I'd better stop before I turn into one of those annoying types that jumps down everyone's throat. >.<

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying I want it easier, I just now need to find some good people.

That really is the trick, since it seems like people quality is down too. Honestly a newbie in a rainbow boat I can deal with so long as they're willing to learn. But seems that even more now I keep running into either lone-wolf guys who ditch the team to go solo the other side (never mind that no matter how skilled the loner is, the rest of the team might need their help), or get a couple of fleeties together who ignore and don't coordinate with anyone outside their circle but still throw a fit when you do something different from their particular plan. I mean I'm only an average player relying on the boring tried-and-true tactics, but when I'm teamed with some people for the next 15 minutes, I'd love if we acted like a team. Thats a bigger problem than any plasma proc.

Well if y'all want to run sometime, I'm not ultra-geared but I know what I'm doing (all except the Khit ground shields, need to re-read guide)

Forum name's the same as my @handle.

I feel like the only people the leaving penalty is hurting are the good ones.

I have come here to say with much dissapointment that the borg have become olmost impossible to bare.

9 of the 10 times im lucky to get away with very low hull percentage, I mean cmon what the hell happened? my raptor on the klingon side has to get the shields down and only 1, yes 1 small torpedo to instantly kill me, which happens allot!

Conclusion, the borg have become overpowered.....its not fun anymore, im wasting lots of credits to repair my ship.

Havok out..........
Honestly I don't have an issue with them buffing the Borg at all, to me the Borg have been "meh" since the first time I started doing PVE missions against them. In TNG the Borg were one of those crap your pants type enemies if they even came up on a sensor scan because you knew you'd have to pull something out of your butt to even survive. In STO they are cannon fodder for the most part in PVE and I find myself respecting them less and less as an enemy group in the Star Trek universe because of this. You could say the same for the Undine though as well, in Voyager they were this incredibly superior enemy group, but honestly in STO you just pimp slap them around. For me the hardest enemies in STO are the Breen and Jem'Hadar, which is kind of laughable.

I guess the only issue is if they make it so it's impossible, like with the invisi-torp or some other BS.

Hard for me to tell, I've switched from an Engineering Cruiser to a Tactical in an Escort, so I "pop" a lot faster (and I'm still running generic shields - Covariant XI Capx2 because I haven't gotten that elusive prototype drop).

Haven't tried elites yet, but my voquv command vessel can take whatever the borg can throw at it on normal, can't wait to try elite.
When in doubt, (hehe) c4!

Only thing that got harder recently is Cure space, because the Kling ships now have a lot of new abilities. (Like the Isometric charge that hits you for 100k and kills you from full health with all your resists up)

Other than that, I don't see any difference.

Elites were a bit tough before. Well, surviving aggro on the gates and cubes at close distance was tough in a paper mache escort. Since the start of Season 6, it has become common for me to get KO'd with a single NORMAL plasma torpedo hitting at over 40k... and maybe it's just having my camera too close to the ship, but I never see them coming. It's like they never quite make it to the shield zone but impact 1-2km away from the ship. I've had a couple of heavy plasma torpedos do that too. Trying to shoot them down but they explode at ~1km and I end up respawning. Just yesterday I got KO'd in ISE by what appeared (based on the combat log) to be a torpedo spread of some sort from a tac cube. 3 normal torpedos; 1st does about 4k, 2nd about 8k, and the 3rd... >40k. And when did tac cubes get dual heavy plasma cannons??? I've never seen one of those fired before.

Don't get me started on how crazy the gates and raptors are now. The beam attacks from raptors shreds my shields and they shoot an OP torpedo about every 4 seconds (or so it seems). Gates are worse. Their beam attacks drop shields with one hit, promptly followed by the nearly invisible normal torpedo that leads to respawning. The DOT plasma damage seems to crit, and keep crit'ing. It's worse with the gates and cubes. I've had one that was doing >400 damage a tick. Not fun.

I don't know why we even have hull points. Hulls are so delicate anyway.

Wasn't there a patch a couple of months ago that lowered the hit points of Elite ships? April 19th patch had damage reduction. March 29th patch had damage reduction and criticals taken away from enemies. June 22nd received a patch to STF enemies, particularly to bring assimilated Klingon ships in line with other STF critters via removing criticals from Negh'vars, reducing raptor hit points, and reducing damage on both.

Obviously, these patches have either been discarded or accidently erased with the implementation of Season 6... or player ships, weapons, armor, and resistances were ninja nerfed, and npc hit points, damage, criticals, and resistances were buffed.
