Hello!

I've been playing for about 6 months now and for the past few months I've been playing with the M.A.C.O armour, shield and rifle set for ground missions and sticking to mostly STF. Now with all the new PvE missions available with fleet marks as rewards I find myself not playing the STF's as much and thus not going up against the borg any more.

Can anyone suggest a new weapon/armour load out that would probably be more suited to the new ground missions or am I best sticking with my M.A.C.O kit?

Thanks

I'm really not a ground expert, but it does largely depend on what class you are. Speaking as a tactical class, I still find two pieces of the MACO set very useful for the innate shield heal. I threw out the rifle for pistols but in my opinion you really cant beat running up close, popping your Fire Team kit skills and letting rip with a good pulsewave. Let the sci wizards and dull engineers take up the rear, if you're a redshirt then get your arse to the front and die like you mean too son!

Thank you! I should've mentioned that I am a red shirt with the Fire Team kit. I'll look into alternate weapons then see if I can't put out some more damage.

I'm running with two pieces of MACO and two pieces of the new Tholian Kit (the upgraded Lobi store versions) - Shield is Tholian, Armor is Mako - weapons from both. That gives you a nice Exploit weapon and a nice Expose Weapon, plus two very nice Set Bonuses.

On the Klingon Side, swapping the MACO pieces for Honor Guard pieces works nearly as well, though the weapon combination is a little bit less optimal.

i recently browsed the advanced fleet armor stuff...i must say a 80% critD modifier (4 times as high as normal critD modifier) is far sweeter than any setbonus so far. + gambling machine and other tactical buffs even captains can become oneshots. also the fleet weapons with dmg 3 add to that one shot...one kill possibility.
I'm still waiting for the elite versions of this new fleet gear...but if they continue in that direction...i'm gonna switch to those instead of sets.

+ they are not even expensive
