How do you roll a Need[100] on a Borg Salvage? I saw this happen today and was shocked because the next highest was me with a 44, and everyone else was in the 20's and 30's. I want to know how exactly do you improve your loot rolls?

In my next run another Salvage dropped and I rolled a 98, and everyone else rolled below 20. One guy rolled a 2.

It seems like it favors one person or another, any reason why?

I wonder if choosing greed or pass increases the chances on your next need roll?

Beezle covered it best. IT IS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY RANDOM BEYOND THE CLICKING THE BUTTON!!!

Need>Greed>Pass.. Well, Pass doesn't even roll. If only one person needs, it goes to them. If only one person greeds, and everyone else passes, it goes to the greeder. The rolls only com into play if there is more than one person on the highest claimed tier. In which case, each player is randomly given a number 1-100. Highest number wins the roll.

There is nothing, short of hacking the game, that can increase you chances of getting a better roll on need or greed. No DPS, No Healing, No Passing on everything but that. Nothing... Just deal with it.

I wonder if that Ferengi thingie is supposed to help.
