I was just playing and noticed that there were deployable antiproton plasma and disruptor turrets in my inventory.

I cant remeber ttaking them up or buying them. Is that a new feature of some kind? Since i fly acruiser i dont use cannons or turrets

Rewards for DOFF missions. I think they are diplo or trade.. "Purchase Plasma Torpedo Satellite" or something like that. There is also two part versions where you first do a DOFF mission to earn the plans, then a doff mission to build the device.

Check your doff mission log and you'll see what you did.

They added those doff missions to get them easier for the fleet system that requires significant donations of them.
