Now that PWE is bowing down to the MACO morons who refuse to utilize their intellect, or do something different and make a Tac character, most players will see a marked decrease of Invasion/Incursions. WHY? Now it will be nearly impossible to save all 3 colonists or kill the guarded saboteurs without getting wiped. Not only that, but anyone attempting to sneak past certain areas is impossible. You LIKE not having to slog through a bunch of Elite difficulty borg? Too bad, you'll just have to have slugging matches again.
Please, PWE, make rational decisions before you nerf or 'patch' what doesn't need to be screwed up.
No, there is no additional bonus, at ALL. In other words, certain mobs that could be avoided temporarily, especially those you know have Perception, are now impossible to avoid. The Gamma Quad tribble will not help, as particular AI can see you below X number of stealth. Breen captains for example, will spot you under 400 at 5m. Undine officers will spot you under 500 at 10m.
One thing to consider: this was one issue of many in Ground PvP, what they did with Stealth.
And PvE is too easy as is, even on the team-focused content like Incursion/Invasion

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh'. I have nothing against the game/devs, nor any particular wish to talk bad about either, or praise most decisions. Still, it's better to be positive than cynical.
Actually they said in the patch thread the pvp and PVE stealth mechanics are totally different, it only affects pvp. They should stack the same in PVE as always. I haven't tested that, but It's lost somewhere in that thread.
