Had a stinker yesterday - the team I was with could NOT take out the Dreadnoughts. I was in my Sao Paulo, and did my best but getting agro and try as I might, my shields couldn't take it . We got our arses kicked bigtime!

Had another fantastic Fleet Alert yesterday.

We all warped in; myself (in Fleet Sao Paulo), an Odyssey, a Sovereign (well, regent wearing Sovvie skin), a T5 Excelsior and a Star Cruiser.

the player in the Odyssey asked if we could try join-focusing fire on one ship and then move onto the next. We agreed, and did so as best we could. And subsequently wiped the floor with the enemy ships (klingons) - fantastic teamwork from all involved!

Just had a 'worst' experience.

Fleet Alert - just 'finished' took my new Fleet Rhode Island in, and wound up with the most useless group of players I've ever encounted. I mean, some fool in a Patrol escort warped in with EVERY damned system damaged.

No communication, I drew all the agro in a damned NOVA CLASS, and we didn't even get past wave one as the team had zero DPS. Bailed with 30 seconds left, although at least one other player had bailed a few minutes before I decided that it was the epitome of a lost cause.

I've had a few great runs with people.

So far 3 incursions I have met up with a team where every person communicated, we have got 44+ saboteurs (the mission recaps it down to 39 or so) and got the all the other objectives, awesome playing like that.

3/5 times not a single person says a single thing or calls corners and its a disaster.

Most colony invasions run smoothly, as I solo the optionals and let the others mindless shoot at enemies.

In Fleet Alert I was grouped with a level 6, 9, 13 and 17 once. I combat logged it for 91% of total damage, made it to the siege team and needed another 20s to finish the last ship. It'd be a disaster if the mission wasn't a total joke.

I usually enjoy Fleet Alert, but if you wind up with a group such as the one I did (mentioned in my last post) it's a real headache.

Don't get me wrong - I don't mind lower-tier players being there so long as they're at least half-useful, but that group weren't and flying into ANY PuG with a ship that had taken damage to EVERY damned system (and obviously no attempt made at repair) is just laughable.

Had a best Fleet Aler this morning: I was in a Fleet Vorcha and I warped into the system with three Commander level player in BOP's and one Qin Raptor.

You would think this was a disaster waiting to happen right? Turns out we beat the 8 waves in record time and managed to kill the Siege Group as well with about 30-45 seconds to spare.

I've seen plenty of leechers with 6 or 7 damaged systems sitting afk in alert and blockade as well.

Well, had another Wave One fail earlier. To be fair, one team member bailed when the enemy ships arrived (Orions in this instance), so was at a disadvantage from the start. Then looked at the team:
Me, Galaxy-X class, VA
One Nova class kitbash, Lt-Cmdr
One Star Cruiser, RALH
One Dakota class, Cmdr
And the person who bailed was a VA in a Fleet Defiant

Anyway, the Star Cruiser was a rainbow boat which was another disadvantage, the Nova class did pretty well - got the impression that this was an experienced player using a secondary toon and the player in the Dakota class had the right idea but didn't seem to be doing much damage, so assume he had a poor setup. I did the best I could, taking out enemy shields and giving them a taste of Phaser Lance whenever possible, but it was obvious from the start that this instance was simply a game of 'see how many fleet marks you can obtain before the red text of fail appears'.

We managed to get to the last respawn of Wave One, where my trusty shields finally gave up, as did my hull, having taken a pounding from my ship receiving frequent aggro, and whilst I was in respawn oblivion the timer ran out, with the starbase resembling a smouldering ruin with enemy ships still firing at it. Fail!

And with reference to the VA flying a Fleet Defiant - a real big thanks for them for bailing - and given that, as mentioned, he bailed just as the enemies arrived I can't help but wonder if we have a new kind of griefer - one who waits to see who the enemy is and then stays or leaves depending on whether the enemy that shows up meets his expectations.

Had a fanastic one yesterday - warped into Fleet Alert in my Galaxy-X and was promptly joined by four players in Chimera class ships.

Nausicaans showed up as the enemy and we completely wiped the floor with them. One of the dreadnoughts, in particular, found itself the 'unfortunate' victim of two Chimera Phaser Lotus attacks - it was pretty weak by the time the two Chimera's had smacked it, so I buffed my weapons, activated subspace jump and used a HY Torpdeo III and Phaser Lance combo to blast said dreadnought into space debris, which I enjoyed a great deal!
