RIP Neil Armstrong a true world wide hero. Such a shame they cut the NASA manned space flight budget, still find money to spend on arms though.

The man left a figurative mark on this world and a literal mark on another.

Neither of them are going anywhere anytime soon.

A lunar site would be a great thing to do! Also, the Armstrong class, cruiser, how about a science ship? Add maybe an "explorer sensor console" that allows player to see EVERY ship in the entire map they are in instead of current 30Km. limit? Also, have it display the full ship info that one sees in combat, but at any range on that map and on the games space map on area level.

"They should make a moon map with the landing side of Apollo 11 and a new memorial plague at Starfleet academy ."

RIP Mr Armstrong. You are among the greatest of American heroes.

I agree it would be nice to see some kind of a tribute to him - an Armstrong-class vessel is a great idea.

The arching sky is calling
Spacemen back to their trade.
And the lights below us fade.

Out ride the sons of Terra,
Far drives the thundering jet,
Up leaps a race of Earthmen,
Out, far, and onward yet -

-Robert A. Heinlein

Godspeed Neil Armstrong. Godspeed.

He's off on the next great adventure.

Now both of the Species First have died: Gagarin died in a plane crash, and now Armstrong from complications after surgery. Godspeed, fair winds, and a following sea, brave travelers all.
