Please make it a lockbox ship, I want it to constantly be a top rank ship and not slowly drift to the back of the class.

It's still a canon ship, I just hate the thought of it quickly getting passed by when other ships are released. An Andorian ship, an escort especially, should always be king of the hill. And while I generally do not care for lockbox ships, if this would be the only way to make sure it is always competitive, I am ok with it. Because I am already willing to spend a foolish amount on this ship anyway.

Any ship put in a lockbox automatically prevents it being used by some of us

An Andorian ship is ideal for Andorians
and perhaps a later update or fleet version could be even better

But I would be kicked out of our "gang" for STFs if I turned up in a lock box ship of any kind
(we have infact recently lost a guy who went Renegade and started using a temporal vessel)

A fleet version would be acceptable, as long as they make sure the fleet ones stay on par with lockbox ships as well.

On average? I would say it's close. Sure their are some rough ones in lockboxes, but take a look at some of the KDF fleet stuff, it's pretty bad too. I guess if they make the Andorian ship a C-Store, we can just immediatly star petetioning for a fleet version

Also lock box ships are mostly cross faction
so unless you want to see Klingons in an Andorian ship

Good point, but they could always do a split box like with the Wells Class, and give the KDF a Leathan one.

Sounds like you need to find a fleet that is less full of itself, sollvax.
