I have tried to read as many threads as possible concerning the incredible lag and/or disconnect some (if not most) of us experience when importing/duplicating a map. Additionally, it seems that the more assets (i.e., maps, contacts, props) a mission has the more pronounced the lag becomes; however, now it appears that using too many assets creates a publishing error as well. Each time I try to publish my mission the game times out and I get an error message that says "error during publish: publish failed" and then the game disconnects.
I've tried it about five times now. The mission has some extensive maps, which is why I'm thinking that it is somehow related. I've read that the more assets you have in your map the more pronounced the lag is and I am wondering if that could include having an effect on being able to publish a mission as well.
The error just says "Error in publishing: failed to publish" and then I'm at the disconnect screen.
Update: Apparently the duplicated maps are the cause of the failed publish (that or their size). I am able to publish now, but without being able to use the duplicated maps. That's something that can be added to the list of fixes I suppose.
