Devs, would you please clarify? In the two recent Q&A sessions, Dan really tooted the KDF horn and said that he had a "build it and they will come" attitude and of course got my hopes WAY, way up. But then in a more recent interview Salami, he referred to KDF expansion as an "option" and made it seem like it was not definite. Please clarify, which is it? I know it's hard to give an exact timeline, but please do anyway but seriously, what's the story? Thanks!!!!

Amen!! It would be nice to know if they are giving up on us or not.

Indeed, and tread carefully Cryptic, the wrong choice might make you loose 18% of your player base and income (even we even believe that inaccurate figure). We are already on the boarder of doing so. I'd recommend turning Season 7 into a KDF Season.

Hey fellow warriors. Sorry about my absence from the forums lately. I have had some conferences, etc., in addition to putting together this Q&A which is finally finished! We should be publishing it within the next 24-36 hours.

I will create a new thread in the forums, much like this one, and hope that similar conversations to the ones going on here will occurs. Keep up the good fight. The battle is far from over, as recent interviews/Q&As have suggested.

Why do they have to vacillate? Every time we get progress they vacillate.

Its not like it would take a huge undertaking to add some story to the KDf that makes sense and ties the faction to the rest of the game.
Its not like we expect it over night or are not well praticed in waiting while Cryptic takes thier time about it, but some freaking forward progress to finishing the KDF faction would be nice after all this time.

On a personal note, I would like the KDF to be finished so they can start the RSE without distractions (otehr than fed) so I can enjoy listening to the feds cry about how OP the RSE ships are, how its unfair the RSE has cloaks, how its imbalanced the RSE has this that or other. It would be entertaing to see them flex thier "entitlement" against another fanbse for a while and steal thier unique qualities under the uaspice of "canonical common sense for game balance its only fair becuase why wouldn't the feds have it anyways" self serving reasoning.
