5 MKXII beams broadside on an escort, with no shields, disabled and stuck in warp plasma with 180 Quantum hitting his side too, with EPS3 and EPtW3 running on the beams.

This for maybe 25-30 secs... couldn't get his armor off 99%

That's not even the more harder scenarios an escort can get caught in, and you're surprised it survived? Seems to be you didn't do the research

Your using beams on an escort ?? I think that pretty much sums it up

nothing in his post suggests that he uses an escort. Fact that he uses EPtW3 is more of an indicator for a cruiser.


but anybody that thinks escorts are glass cannons in this game is completely mistaken. Only the 2 tac team 1 have more defensive capability than 2 EPtS 1.

In all honesty, stuff like this is pretty much why I stopped PvPing. Sure there are skilled people who know what they are doing. But the way STO is built, not all builds are created equal. This discourages people and they just either rant or just outright quit.

That's why I trust the Dev Team is taking notes. Until the game is at the level where average players can do good with even the worst of builds, STO's PvPers are just going to be a handful.
