Heeeey, it looks like the Sensor Scan DOff's are working now. Spiffy. Will definitely be testing once I get back to STO!

and now hope for the best that cryptic will test it properly first, before releasing it on holodeck... You will see that it doesn't work as intended because they only tested it for 2 days (and we can have the "polarons are broken" discussions again)

After flying around on tribble.. My KDF Carrier with 5 Polaron Beams I was able to drop a Borg Sphere's shields with just one proc.. Of course that is a -53 to all systems proc (4x Flow Capaciter Mk XII Uncommons, + 9 in flow)

Sure that might not seem like a big deal.. but add in Viral Matrix to help random shut down subystems.. and then Tyken's Rift 3 (+Doff). Factor in escorts with Cannon Scatter Volley + Polarons and it looks to be the next team make up...

Oh wait.. they already do that.. Carry on.

Why not apply something similar (or something at all) to Siphon Drones?

Because the real problem is we don't know how to spec our ships to Resist them. Duh.

Of course we don't know... What we really want is not a fix for PI or ID, or for that reason PVP, what we want is a new weapon with 4 modifiers that has all procs in one, a new cruiser with 20 turn (or even better, a 50k hull bop carrier), torps that fire 360 on HY, leeches that gain you +100 to all power levels, update to red mater to run non stop, pets with crf3 that cycle tb and tbr etc, etc...

I just want my new Wells-class in the new lockbox to have perma (or at least only a 10 second downtime) version of the Kar'Fi Phase Shift.

procs on weapons are stupid to begin with.

A "magic proc" should not get through my full hull and full shields to disable a system, to reduce power, etc... as it currently can.

Damage to subsystems, power systems, etc.. should be the result of actual damage incurred on a ship-- not from a magical proc. Likewise, a ship should become more and more ineffective as they take more damage.

There is no reason, in this entire universe, why a ship should still have full power to weapons, engines, shields, and aux when they are at 10% hull... no reason at all. It isn't even realistic.

As for the procs of the polaron weapons (despite the fact that they shouldn't even exist as stated above), at least we have one more energy weapon type that doesn't continue to stack procs (like phasers, supposedly). Now they need to concentrate on the rest...not even energy weapons

Or better yet, just get rid of all procs so that space combat doesn't seem like an arcade game, and instead seems more realistic.
