I also like Anti-Matter Spread on my Tactical Escort Retrofit. Works great in PvE and PvP. Aside from the cloak and AMS, these are the only c-store items I have.

I also have Vent Theta Radiation and Subspace Jump, depending on the situation. I really only use the Vent Theta Radiation for certain STFs, and use the Subspace Jump in fleet PvE missions.
I dunno. I've been playing PvP for a little bit now in an escort and Theta Radiation has never bothered me. It doesn't seem nearly as effective as eject warp plasma in slowing me or causing damage and it's a lot easier to get out of. On top of that, there are doffs that will improve eject plasma and to my knowledge don't affect theta radiation.

For stf's i use both point defense sytem consoles. They work great together on infected and khittomer when you have large groups of small ships. I pop the PDS to drop shields the hit TPDS and stuff goes boom.

But an above poster is also right. I could drop those get another field generator and resistance console and be a little bit stronger.

I fly a HEC.

I don't use the Theta Radiation Console in PvP. Only for certain PvE missions. I usually get out of the way before I fly into the radiation cloud.

Though, it's not entirely useless. If a ship has their anti-hold ability on cooldown, they will have to move out of the way, so they don't get caught. For an escort, that can break your fore weapon's target. But, I'd rather slot a different console for PvP.

For Feds

1. Transwarp Computer
Warp Core efficiency +20 translates into a flat +8.3 Energy Bonus if you run a typical 100/50/25/25 build.

2. Phaser point defence system. Ether it helps you to clean spam or its a short time DPs boost (against Neg'vars in Cure etc.) Downside is that you are forced to use Phaser weapons for full ecciciency

3. Borg Assmilated Module - not much to say, its great

4. Theta vent
Not essencial for Cruisers, but it is very helpful for Escorts to have some kind of Crowd control at hand. Especially if a noob messes up ISE or blows cube to early in CSE.

5. Grappler
a Free tractor beam. Nice for Escorts.

6. Enhanced Plasma Manifold
Poor mans Red matter Capacitor. +50 Energy for 20 sec can sometimes save your life.

- unsure - 7. Advanced Transwarp Drive Coil
I don't know the formula what +7.6 points in xxxx perfomance are worth. But this console is on my "to do" list.

Klingon
1. Plasmonic Leech
Best console in Game. Fullstop.

2. Disruptor point defence system. Same as feds, but for disruptor.

3. Borg Assmilated Module

4. Theta vent - same as on fed side

5. Aceton Assimilator
Nice little tool to weaken the enemy combine with leech and polaron weapons =lifeless enemy. also good crowd control.

8.3? Is that correct?

Why does it seem like maxing out Warp Core Efficiency doesn't seem to give it that much more, when it seems like the maxed skill would give you +99?

I run a 125/90, 74/55, 52/30, 36/25 power level setting. If the Transwarp Computer does give you 8.3, I would be willing to give up the Field Generator for the extra 8.3 to all my power systems (especially if I can route an extra 5 power levels to my shields from my weapons, and still maintain 125 weapon power).

I mean, the 1k from the Field Generator is useful, but the potential for 13 more power levels into the shield power (which improves resistance) seems like it would partially make up for the loss in capacity.

EDIT: Scratch that. I mixed up Efficiency with Potential.

Assimilated Module hands down. That thing is beast. You will notice and IMMEDIATE increase in your ships's damage performance the second you enter a combat situation after placing this module. It gives you almost anything you'd need to enhance your damage. As for the visuals, they are players choice, so if you don't like em, disable em.

I am also rather fond of the subspace jump module, but that one you have to be careful, since good players will know it's coming and prep accordingly. The last guy who did that to me got a jam sensors for his trouble, and I just waited out all the buffs he blew and then slapped him upside the head with a tricobalt torp after a tachyon beam.

Also the red matter generator is a GREAT thing to have. Granted it's expensive to get, but if you can get it, that is an item you will NEVER take off. Power bonus that's rather large for a pretty extensive amount of time. What more could you want?

Just my $0.02
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.

You can also cloak and use the console. It will auto-decloak you. But, if you're concerned about being detected and want to get in as close as possible for your alpha strike, you can use that as well.

Works pretty well when they are distracted.

Red Matter Capacitor? Only way to get that is a special edition version of the game, no? I've picked up a few of them for under $15.

Yeah, pretty sure you can only get it with that spec edition. But if you get it, it is very much worth it.

Follow up question on the RMC:

1) Can you attach a Collector's Edition code to an existing account, or would I have to start all over?

2) According to stowiki, it's a +25 power bonus (to all systems) on a 3 minute cooldown. Is that correct?

3) I know from the tooltip and testing that a Weapons battery is a +75 weapons power bonus on a 2 minute cooldown. My primary use for batteries is to make sure my weapons are at full effectiveness after coming out of Full Impulse.
Under what circumstances do you find the RMC more useful? Is there anything more than the convenience of not having to deal with consumables?
