I've been gradually levelling up a secondary character now that I hit VA with my first, and I had reached the Cage of Fire level. Knowing how painful the experience was the first time, I put off playing it for days, waiting for some friends to get on and play it with me to avoid the AI pathfinding bugs.
However, in the end I bit the bullet and played it myself. I didn't encounter a single pathfinding bug! Not one Boff jumped into lava, or ran back to the beginning of the level, or remained rooted to the spot. Amazing! I noticed one brief mention of the Cage of Fire mission in one of the latest patch notes, but it would seem that this rather low key mention was when they fixed the mission. Has anyone else tried it recently?
Ran this on my tactical character yesterday and was pleased to discover that my bridge officers weren't getting lost or dying in the lava, which definitely makes the mission a lot easier. I'd been dreading it because when I ran it on science it was stupidly hard and took a couple hours. This time I think I ran it in an hour or less.
