even without tac buffs you should notice a difference intentionally holding back CRF. an eng is only ever going to be able to heal, not throw damage im afraid. dem is a waist of a station for them

and i love warp plasma, yeah, you do lose a little defense, but like i said before.....its so easy to tank in this game with just 2 copies of epts, and then rsp and bfi doffs. that alone is enough defense for any ship i fly pretty much. (except my engie healer, who has no offense at all)

and with an evasives every 25 seconds! so much fun. and not very cruiser like at all. but out of as many "lol dps" cruisers i see out there....the only build that seems to pull it off the way i want to.....would be just like this.

other than that you just beam boat away....which i do not favor while trying to do damage.

have fun kill bad guys!
lol dps cruisers are my specialty! beam arrays suck unless your in a 1v1 situation, then if you can keep your enemy's cannon up time low, and better yet immobilize, its hard to lose.

theres no question my 600-1200 dot plasma 3, AP, tractor beaming ktinga could out duel my fleet vorcha, it wouldn't even be close. but the fleet vorcha is better at killing in the heat of battle, the befuddling strategy can fall apart if allies help out my target.

even if you have a fleet vorcha, i still recommend the fleet ktinga. its turn rate makes the fleet vorcha blush, and these 3 sci consoles full of flow cap or particle, so good. when you concentrate on keeping the target stuck, you basically don't even need turn consoles. with only 1 i get 22 turn out of it, twice the base.

I've been trying something new based on what you have said. With my Gal-R, during cooldown times for both of my tac abilities (HYT1, BO2) , I have been using DEM and Aceton in rotation. I have been noticeably increasing the damage for the non Tac-buffed attacks with those engi' skills. Its not spike damage, but it is increasing overall dps.

"power levels are 125/125/98/5 when A2b is up... can't beat that by much. M.A.C.O. shield and RMC further move this to obscene max levels."
