# 1 Lifetime and C-Store
06-28-2014, 12:58 AM
Maybe this has been asked and answered before, but i'd like to know if it would be possible to put the Lifetime subscription and Veteran status into the C-Store.

I have no idea how much it would cost, but some ppl i know have spend a LOT of money for ZEN and still have a lot of unused ZEN to spare.

They will never allow a Lifetime subscription to be purchased using in-game assets... What they want is $$$...

Not actually the reason. If it does get put in the C-Store, then it is paid for with Zen. Zen costs real money to get, so they still get their money.

It just isn't the person who paid for the Zen who got the LTS, which is the real issue.

It would be 30.000 ZEN i guess.
Good question, why not.
You could even get it with dilithium for ZEN, cryptic doesn't care from who the money comes from.

This was my thought too.

Someone DOES pay for the ZEN, i doubt that Cryptic cares who.

On the other hand it would give players who can't afford the LTS the chance to archieve it through in game means. I mean someone who can get 30000ZEN by playing STO is more than qualified to be calles STO veteran IMO.
(infact i think that person would be more qualified than someone who simply buys LTS with $$$, IMHO)

I doubt there would be many people who would really do this. 30.000 Zen? At the moment the ratio is somewhere at 1:153, right? So you would need 4.590.000 dil. Let's say you farm with 4 toons it would take about 143 days because of the daily dil cap. And since the whole endgame content is just a gigantic grindfest with a immense dil sink the 4x 8k dil per toon would not all be saved for the LTS which would strech it out even more.

At least it would be a good long term motivation for some.

...
Though not all ZEN is purchased... Promotional ZEN (e.g. Lifetime Sub stipend...) is no doubt viewed as a long term expense by Cryptic/PWE... After all, how many Lifetime Subscriptions can a single account buy???

If it ever hit's the C-Store then Cryptic would be wise to cancel the 500 monthly Zen allowance.
