# 1 BoFF skills

I wish to change my 3rd tactical skill on my tactical boff to have torpedo high yield III, im planning on running a plasma torpedo carrier with bops also scoring savage hits with their torpedoes. the best way i know of making the carrier just as deadly as the pets . However as a science officer i can not train this skill, i have looked around on the exchange and all i keep seeing is attack pattern omega I, rapid Fire II, target weapon subsystem III.. but i have yet to see any purple tactical officers with Torpedo High Yield III. i wanted to train one up through my tactical character Servius, however the kicker here is that once i commission the officer i can no longer trade this boff to get the high yield III skill.

how can one science officer get hard to get skills for their boffs?

You will need to find another on the exchange, rare but possible. As for getting some rare skills, you know you can trade a Boff to a friend, have them train it with skills they have, and trade it back yes?

that is what i was thinking through servius, but i have no friends in game and no fleet, so where to find honest players that can train up my boff is difficult.

so i ask here if anyone is willing to help me out with this, i would be thankful.

I've come across few people that were willing to train my BOFF's in a skill i could not train them in myself.

Just keep an eye on the zone chat from time to time, that's how i found 'em!

i hope you are right, i would not be too pleased that i handed over the boff and that person went offline. but i would rather take the risk as these boffs actually dont cost anything on the exchange anyway. thank you for that insight.
