Thats the problem here, why fly a cruiser if any other ship can do it almost as good as cruisers and add more to the group? as example, was yesterday with my klingon tac offi in a scourge destroyer spot; khitomer destroying Donatra, got her agro since the begining she toss me verything on hand attacked her face to face'' in a static motion with some reverse to stay at range she only scratch my shields with her mega spreads other than that no relevant
damage as a result she died in a few minutes.
So it makes clear that mechanics of threat control for example are no needed, cruiser tanking is irrelevant the only thing you need is raw damage because any escort/destroyer can do it perfectly without cruisers arround, furthermore teams with all escorts/destroyers seems to be more usefull in pve enviroment that teams with cruisers because cruisers dont have damage and their skills no needed, btw i have a galor and a d'kora and still going better with escort/destroyers and i love the d'kora is a beast can take and deal a lot of punishment but in a practic sittuation another powers are needed and other ships suit better.
Is sad see how the game is going in only one direction thining the lines of variety every new update.
I do think the timeship destroyers should have the 0.8 shield number rather than the 1.05. Find of showing how unbalanced this game has gotten thanks to the Lock Box fluff.
This. The destroyers have enough perks without the crazy shield modifier. All ships should have a little give and take here and there. As is, these ships have clear advantages over something like the Fleet Patrol Escort. There are too many pros and not enough cons. I know people hate to hear this term, but the destroyer the epitome of a P2W ship.

This, too. Why fly a cruiser at all? They are supposed to be built for tanking, but its nearly impossible for them to hold aggro. It actually makes sense to give the escorts more durability for he simple fact that they're always the ones tanking damage. It sucks to see a ship class get shafted so. Cryptic really needs to rethink how threat works in this game.

Escort: high burst damage dealers, fragile escpacially to crowd controll
Science: deadly area effect crowd controlers and debuffer, but not powerfull enough to go vs. cruiser
Cruiser: protectors (tank or healer), very resistant against CC, but clumsy and can be easily outmanouver by escorts
This means escort > cruiser > science > escort ...
Currently it is like this:
Escort: high burst damage dealers, tanks, kill everything and easily slip from CC (e.g. using attack pattern omega)
Science: gimped area effect crowd controll as mere anoyance and moderate shield healer
Cruiser: moderate healers, but not better tanks than escort, but with much less damage
Ah, and btw. I'm currently playing Tac in an escort. Is there any reason to play anything different?
