# 1 Problem with Tipler Cylinder
09-27-2012, 06:02 PM
Borticus the tipler Cylinder has a little problem, it's not OP, it's balanced and so on.

BUT if activated just a moment before death (in pvp a moment before death = 20% hull), you die because there are still enemy cannon or torpedo shots that are reaching your ship, but after dying you rewind time and resurrect.

It's very nice but the kill is counted like you really died, so after resurrection you are still at the center of the map, still at 20% hull and if you die a second time the kill is counted again.

Suggested fix for Borticus: rewind also the kill counter when resurrecting using this ability.

Dear attacking PvP team,

Please enjoy a few extra kills, courtesy of the Tipler Cylinder.

Yes, you see the respawn button like you were dead, but then time rewinds, the respawn button disappears and you are still alive.
Kill is still counted.

Well, you're not dying. The point shout not be rewarded. But as it sounds like fiddling with the PVP mechanics, maybe we could stick a penny in it?

No, in his scenario he did die. If you rewind BEFORE you die then they get no point.

It is your own fault for not pressing the "I payed to win" button before dying.
