hello, star trek game a long time, I stopped and went back to play again, I was surprised with the game because I'm enjoying it a lot, but what is disappointing me is the amount of players that harming others in the STF, STF of 10 to participate , always has 4 or 5 players afk, and the worst that we can not do anything, we will finish the STF and they took the item would want ours, this is unacceptable, we need to improve our community, because are not all doing it, but we need to have an initiative, enough players AFK in STF, all that
agree please let us make a chain for developers to create a way to remove the AFK players in the group, and thus doing a better Star Trek Online, Thanks for the attention.

This topic has been talked to death.

Greifers and AFKers are par for the course within an MMO.
Not saying suck up and deal, but seriously just deal with it.

There have never been any ideas floated around about this matter that aren't rife with potential exploits and using these systems against others who are not actually doing anything wrong.

Sorry, Man, but the AFKers in STFs and Fleet Actions are here to stay.
Sad as that is.

Hippiejon hit it on the head.... Griefers and moochers and AFKers are the side effect of putting a bunch of people together. Humans just kinda suck like that. And especially when the community is so large and so anonymous as we are, it is guaranteed. Humans become sociopathic, egotistical, lazy, ignorant @$$hats when you put them only. Haven't you ever read youtube comments before?

Either grind your way through it, Join a fleet and do fleet runs, or just shrug and leave.

And murderer and rapists are to be found in any society as well, but we don't tolerate them either.

You are promoting the wrong attitude. These griefers are a blight on this game community and serve NO purpose other than to ruin the game. They have forfeited any right to play this game by adopting that stance.

I think if 1 player does less than 10% of the damage of the second lowest damage dealing player he ought to get NOTHING. No EDC, no dilithium, and still suffer the cooldown. He should get NO roll on optionals or EDCs, and if given any before the match is up they are revoked and put up for roll for the remaining active players.

So basically you screwed a cruiser in a team of escorts, or a sci ship in a team of escorts. Your system might work in a game that everything is a little more balanced damage wise, but in a game where a good DD can sustain at 10k dps and spike at 25k and the tank sustains at maybe 3k and spikes at maybe 5k, you basically just screwed that person out of their loot simply because they can't do anywhere near the damage of the main damage dealers.

I understand your position, and agree with you, but your proposal needs a little work.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
Tired of Wasting EC and Time trying to get Superior Romulan Operative BOffs? Here's a cheap and easy way to get them, with an almost 100% chance of success.

Even when somebody with the weakest setup is trying, they they will still break 70k damage easy. Griefers won't even break 10. Not 10k, just 10.

P.S. My cruiser is often middle of the pack for damage, even when escorts play along.

Allow me to edit my statement then. "You just screwed CASUAL players who are trying out these things and still learning how to build themselves and learn what to do."

P.S. I know what you mean, my AC is usually up there even with escorts in the group. But I specifically designed my AC to deal damage, not be support. It can't support or tank as well as a lot of other ACs I have seen, but tends to do a little better in the damage department. Still not anywhere near an escort, but it's not shabby in any sense of the word when it comes to damage output.

How about a meter which keeps a tab on damage taken instead of damage made, combined with how much time passes between boff skills or just skills used? Then, if applicable, the team can vote.

Laughed for five minutes at the (Urgent).... The next piece of code that will earn Cryptic more money is urgent.... not people playing pugs with expectations of playing with a private group. One of my favorites is getting the optional on an Elite when down a man or finishing them with 3 when one goes afk and some cry baby warps out.

Pugs are pugs... you don't know what your gonna get and I find them less boring and more challenging because of jerks, idiots, or new players that blew one of the generators or gates instead of waiting.....

If you want a robostf then join a fleet, talk to people other than GG, and make a private room in PVE. Suddenly you don't have a problem with AFKers, it's sort of amazing I guess.
1hr of work @NYS Min Wage 7.25 = 725 Zen
725 x 102 (or current exchange rate) DL = 73950 DL <- can you earn that per hour in game?
