Similar to what I did with the Tholian Orb Weaver, I have recorded videos of this new ship on my Youtube channel, continuing my Let's Play of STO. I was able to get this ship through the Lobi store, and so am able to show it. I have not however acquired the Wells Class Temporal Ship yet. Gosh I want it so bad. If by some miracle I get that ship, I will show videos of it in combat as well. For now, all I can show you is the Temporal Destroyer.

*note, I specify that some of the "devices" on the Lobi store are consoles, when in fact they take up ship weapon slots, sorry for the error

Enjoy!

You must have spent $100's of dollars to get that ship and the consoles!

Looks like a fun ship, but damn, cryptic saw you coming......

Love watching your videos though

It's really not too bad if you have a lot of Energy Credits, yes, master keys are expensive, but it's not out of reach. I also had a bit of Zen, and I had some Lobi left over from the tholian lock boxes, so in combination I was able to get enough. No wells class drop though

He only has the Mobius.

I spent $50 for both ships and the complete Lobi set.

How?

I did PWE surveys and offers for over $60 in credit.

I had 100 Lobi leftover from old DOff packs. (Which is money spent but not now.)

I had a couple of months of C-Points saved.

I got over $30 worth of Zen from dilithium over the last few months.

And I had a Ferengi shuttle and D'Kora I got off the exchange which I sold now, at a profit, to make it all happen.

In the end, the ships were the easy part because they could be had on the exchange. I sold keys bought with my mostly free Zen and my old lockbox ship acquired the same way for the EC to get the three timeships (Mobius, Aeon, Wells). Paid 100M a piece for the lockbox ships and 14M for the shuttle.

The hard point then was getting the Lobi for the Lobi space item set, as I needed 600 total for the full set and only had 100.

I spent $50 on Zen. You get a bonus 300 Zen there and I had a one use coupon code for 15% bonus Zen with purchase and, of course, keys are discounted and you get a better price with bundles of 10. Still ran out of keys opening boxes. Started spending my remaining EC on keys on the exchange to open more boxes for more Lobi and sold almost anything I could from the boxes for more EC for more Lobi.

Some of my boxes had 10, 12, and 15 Lobi.

In the end, I had just enough to get the 3 piece time console... and wound up finding about $10 million worth of returned exchange items cleaning out my mail account.

That left me with 24 Lobi and a few million EC and something like 100 Zen. I did buy some more Zen for EC so I could get the gear for my ship... although that may have been a waste because I wound up earning better gear through STFs in a day.

I will say right now, without the full console package, the Mobius is a nice fleet-tier ship, a notch below the Armitage (and the Mobius console itself underperforms -- it will get you killed a lot because you get damage from your past self). With ALL the consoles and weapons, it's my favorite ship in the game. The dual chroniton beams (thankfully, they're really antiptoton with a chroniton proc) are very pretty.

The torpedo (Temporal Disruption Device) is killer and worth getting a few projectile weapons officer DOffs to reduce the cooldown. It's a VERY slow torpedo with double the cooldown. It also does double the damage and has an insane proc.

It's an ideal escort torpedo. Because of its low speed, you either want to fire it less than 1km from somebody's face or, with NPCs, a fun trick is to fire the torpedo first and then focus on stripping the enemy's shields AFTER firing the torpedo because you can probably do it before the torpedo impacts. It gets you thinking about backwards cause and effect when you have a torpedo so slow that you want to fire it before stripping the enemy shields.

I'm going to say, right now, that it was pricy. If I didn't already have valuable stuff to sell and if I didn't start grinding as soon as I heard one of the devs HINT at "time" related stuff, I'd have never got it. And I spent money and relied on both a Zen sale and a key sale lining up.

But I am more satisfied with this ship than with any other ship I own. Not just the power but the gimmickry and type of gimmickry appeal to me, as somebody who was more into time travel than space travel and who yearned for a 29th century time-themed Trek show ever since I saw "Future's End" as a kid. It just feels right and may well be the last ship I ever buy unless I get something with an alt in mind. I'll be playing it well after it's obsolete next to some hypothetical Elite +2 Tier of Fleet Ships.

Next time could you dish out a more detailed plan of exactly how you got the ships step by step I am sure everyone is crazily interested

Sort of feels like you left is hanging with a lot of questions un-answered

/edit

I made a reflector rap by the way

Yo, yo, I like to think about stuff that don't matter, frame of mind going up the long ladder; what if farpoint was near, what if unification was here, how many borg to a masterpiece society, just love the variety, of reflecting, collecting, inspecting and injecting, NEW THOUGHTS

Uh uh uh
NEW THOUGHTS
uh uh uh

I can tell you that, for me, it involved months of grinding, having resources built up from before (including a lockbox ship, which I didn't claim). If you get your hands on one sit on it as the price will go up; unless it's the ship of your dreams, it's better to get one off the exchange and sit on it. I did surveys for Zen which I used to buy Master Keys which I sold for EC (pro-tip, keys sell for more on the day of a lockbox release) and I relied on both discounted Zen (only buy during a sale if you can help it; know your spending habits, budget, and buy in bulk in advance) and discounted keys.

On Zen, try to track your spending habits. Buying in bulk gives you a bonus. Buying during a sale is ideal. It's much better to spend $50 or $100 once a year during a sale than to buy $10 ten times over a year.

Also, I'd suggest giving up on trying to have everything. Single out the ONE aspect of Trek you like most and your ONE or TWO favorite alts and treat any additional alts as farming tools to support your main. I've got lowbie alts that I just login and do the lore daily at SFA with. When they hit level 10, I break them out for quick Foundry missions too. And I use their resources to feed my main and their resource gathering ability slowly goes up. Eventually, I'll have 10 Vice Admirals whose job amounts to farming EC and dilithium to feed my main. And they only do so when an opportunity cost is lower.

For example: you have an hour cooldown on STFs per character. I can see down the road where I'll figure out the fastest STF. I play it on my main. Then I login to an alt and play the same STF. And everything they earn goes back to my main. The dilithium is easiest to transfer. Anything else like EDCs will probably get spent on engines to vendor or equipment to sell on the exchange and any EC goes to my main. If there's a daily that awards fast dilithium, best to do it on every alt. Anything involved, I do on my main.

I was kidding, the 10 pages in your last post was already over the top

Also read my edited version of my last post I left a rap for you

Lucky for me I already have everything I want, I don't like any of the items from any lockbox season - minus the silk scarf

I thought about a tholian carrier for my alt (have 2 characters), but I already have an f2p atrox on my main so...

/edit

Also, which might be a slight derail here, I started using tricobalt mines on my escort which I know is politically incorrect here and I am now totally loving it so much so I can't picture saying goodbye to that ship.

I hit something with 72,000 damage today which is a personal record for me and stuff like the 2 bop on cure just vanish with full shields.

ANYWAY so I don't know where I am going from here, nothing left to grind for really
