# 1 The Chroniton Dual Beams

I saw these on the Lobi Crystal Store, it says they deal Antiproton Damage, but what color are the beams? Ive already heard people say they shoot rainbow color beams but really...what color are the beams?

Red with electric pink, purple, and white highlights. It's like rainbow electricity with a hint of antiproton beam.

So do they benefit the Antiproton boosting console?

Yep - been accused of flying a rainbow boat thanks to the Chroniton dual beam array.

Though I guess I technically am.....

I was skeptical about putting them on an escort but the torpedo and console are both great for a maneuverable ship, especially an escort.

The torpedo does crazy damage, especially with the set bonus. It also is insanely slow. As in, enemies are frequently dead before it connects. It's great when fired at close range and otherwise, you want to fire it at a ship BEFORE the shields are down or within 2km.

I'd say stick to antiproton consoles but invest in Projectile Weapons Officer DOffs for the torpedo since it's 20 second cooldown, double damage of a normal chroniton and benefits from a 33% damage increase from the set bonus.

It's too slow/unreliable to waste consoles on unless you're a torpedo boat.

Back on the beam, it does antiproton damage but its proc is a chroniton proc instead of an antiproton proc, adjusted for beam use.

The console is worth getting first though. It's practically an RCS console with crit enhancements as a universal console.

Consider what happens when you put that console on a Dreadnaught with Turnx3 Fleet engines and an RCS console or four. Hello tanky-escort dreadnaught. Cannon boat build becomes viable.

And forget the Lance by using Antiproton consoles instead of phaser? lol
