Yes, they're powerful. Yes, they're easily the most flexible 'escorts' going (although they blur the line with science vessels/light cruisers a little). And yes, I've got plenty of reservations . Enjoy and please comment - either on the video page or in this thread.

Oh yes, does someone at Cryptic have a Thunderhawk Gunship? Those wing braces on the Peghqu' look like a nod...

Watching.
Do you happen to have a link to the Thunderhawk?

It is much cooler to perform the transformer change music whilst the Chimera changes form

Watched.

I don't disagrre with your opinions on the Chimera transformation. What if a crewman was in a turbolift when it transformed, is he stuck there til the end of the fight? lol

The Lotus Power:
Anything that gives you a damage bonus will improve the damage of this power.
The Attack patterns
Emergengy Power to Weapons 5sec boost
The 5 second boost from Decloaking (per the Peghqu' only)
the 10sec buff from Tac team (trickle down from skill)
BUT the strongest of all, Go Down Fighting III.

Just sitting in Qo'noS space, I got damage to spike up to 5,950.

Now using the EPtW and Decloak buffs are iffy, since the have a 5sec buff and the Lotus has a 4sec powerup.

I'll play around with this in a "safe fight" and report what I can get the damage up to with low Hull points and the Go Down Fighting III.

Agreed with the conclusion, it's a pay to win ship, but I noticed you tested it with a sci, so you're far, far away from the real damage output this lotus can reach.

That damage output does mean going phaser instead of anti-proton.

My feeling it's quite good but not any more noticeably than the Armitage or other newer C-Store ships and could still be smoked by a Fleet Ship with some C-Store consoles.

My one point is that this thing's real lethality is probably more in PvP than STFs.

It's not designed for stfs but rahter for fleet actions, and a couple of destroyers could probably one-shot half of a pvp pug team.
