It is just dumb, and i am trying to be polite...
They increase the NEED for Dilithium because you have to use it to advance in the new rep system, but then they more than half the reward of Dilithium for stf's.

You do one or the other, but not both!!!

You are effectively saying that our time in the game is now only worth half what it was before S7, good one.....

Increase the refining cap to at least double.

I think its funny. You will get 240 dilithium for a normal STF and 480 for an elite. Given that if you run nothing but elites you will probably end up with far more elite marks than you need, and running either will earn you far more omega marks than you can process each day, you might as well run 1 or 2 elites then grind Normal mode STFs lol. Why bother with the harder ones? Its practically impossible to fail Normal mode STFs.

Agreed.

The biggest problem is that it seems that their metrics simply tell them "people aren't playing these, we should get people to play these by nerfing STF Dil and increasing dil rewards here."

It feels like Cryptic only ever looks at one half of the problem with any particular system or piece of content when another large glaring issue is either ignored or goes unnoticed.

So basically you are taking my ability to help my fleet with my 8 rank 50 captains out the window and making it to where with my free time I will be able to grind a max of 8k dilithium per day, and thats with a full days worth of play time where as before I could grind out an easy 80k Dilithium per day. Your not just showing that you do not give a **** about me as a player your actively working to drive people like me out of the game, have you guys ever even considered how this will effect people that buy Zen to get Dilithium? If you more then half the total Dilithium available on the server and increase what you need it for you are going to be losing ALOT of money on this venture as nobody will have the extra Dilithium to sell on the exchange anymore. Plus all this stuff about adding in more and more currency types is retarded. Remember about a year ago when you first introduced Dilithium because you guys wanted to simplify everything down to one single end game currency? Now you have added 4 currencies in the last 2 updates? Your going backwards with this game to the stuff that made you sell the company to Perfect World in the first place. Wake up and at least do not make the same mistake that your own company made a year ago...

If this is the way things are going, I won't even bother with STFs any more.

I only do them (STFs) for the dilithium. I have my Mk XII gear. I don't do them for the drops, nor for the teamwork (LOL?), nor for the company. If I want to destroy my faith in humanity as well as get dilithium....I PUG it.

Seriously? You want me to hop into an STF with a pitiful dilithium return for time invested, with people who usually have less dps than a carrier pet, have NO idea of what to do, and cannot or will not bother to ask, or understand simple constructive instructions. Making the payout for an elite STF the same as a daily? Right...yeah...not happening.

I currently don't do fleet events (outside of my own fleet), due to not getting dilithium as a reward. Seeing as this will change, I might go there...but same thing, I look at the return for effort.

Seeing that I am not the only person in this boat, I cannot see why you (cryptic) think this is a good idea.

Leave the dilithium rewards alone. Having a contribution bonus is a good idea, but is skewed toward tactical captains and escorts if you are looking at only dps.

With all the dilithium sinks and demands in the game, it only makes playing this game more frustrating to have your sources of dilithium get squeezed.

I am concerned that that this is a play to get people to buy more dilithium with zen. I am not usually one of the people who jump on "PWE/Cryptic just wants your money" bandwagon...but in light of this and all the new dilithium sinks, it make me wonder.

They should add dilithium rewards for completing optionals (to foster teamwork), and bigger one-time payouts for STF accolades (this would be retroactive). They should add more optionals to STFs like tricky kills and such too.

LOL - is that Purple MII Borg gear? Did you know that the Borg Proc is useless and Borticus basically said today that they have known it was useless - "Not working as Intended" for a long time but said nothing to the players - keep on grinding - the old stuff is garbage - but hay you can spend dilth on new weapons that they promise will work - fingers crossed!!

At least the current elite space STF's are so easy and boring (ok CSE can be "interesting" with certain PUGs) that I don't mind the reduced Dilithium reward.

Because now I have an incentive to run another content to get the dilithium ;-)

That is a nice idea. Something like no deads, the tac cube shoot only at one person or damaged the gate while exploding (ISE) etc
But nothing like Cube died in 5 secs.
