The Kaisers of the Austrian Empire (1804?1867) and of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1867?1918) were:
Franz I (1804?1835)
Ferdinand I (1835?1848)
Franz Joseph I (1848?1916)
Karl I (1916?1918)
The Kaisers of the German Empire (1871?1918) were:
Wilhelm I (1871?1888);
Frederick III (9 March-15 June 1888), who ruled for 99 days;
Wilhelm II (1888?1918), during whose reign the monarchy in Germany ended near the end of World War I.
Actually I'm leaning toward Kaiser Franz Joseph. Very trek-y.
In all honesty, your ship should reflect you. The name should be taken from what you take love in. For example, aviation have always been a love for me, so all my ships have been named after pilots who have set records, or named after the aircraft themselves in some way. By the same token, all my registry numbers have been the tail numbers of historical aircraft. For my current ship, you can see my post on our Fleet?s website.
If your love is national history, name the ship after a president, king, or queen (like U.S.S. Elizabeth II). If you are a patriot, name the ship after the nation or region (Like U.S.S. Helvetia).
In short, the name and registry number should be made by you alone, and taken from what you love.
I am thinking my next starship will be the U.S.S. Dawn Treader.
When I get an Ambassador Class, it will be the U.S.S. Kamemor. For those that don't know, Gell Kamemor was the Romulan Senator that was authoring the Treaty of Algeron. She was a huge proponent for open relations between the Romulan Star Empire and the Federation during the era of the Enterprise B. After the Tomed Incident, she was forced by the Praetor to author a reduced treaty that lead to the Romulan Empire to close it's borders. This would be perfect for the new Romulan reputation system coming out.
If you believe the sky is the limit, you are aiming too low. We must reach beyond the stars - Ambassador Otungku
