It's broken, it's not even funny to use. Using APO against me is death sentence for any ship but cruisers. Only PH builds so far resisted my onslaught.
I'm all for working sci abilities...but this is too much.
I think the ability itself is fine. It's when a tactical uses it with their accompanying buffs that it's a bit ridiculous.
As an example, TBR3 on my science does 3600. Not Absurdly OP. It's very useful against da-noobs and chained tractors. Makes it somewhat possible to position for a SNB.
I don't think an ability nerf is needed, but rather rethinking how tactical buffs modify it. Similar to the changes to FBP.
Tac buffs affect FBP as well. An I agree the tac buffs make a lot of abilities really horrible. But without the buffs, there is no reason for a tac to step into a science ship :-))

Give it to some eng skills, why would a eng step in a sci ship atm. We've been seeing enough red BS, how about some yellow
There is definitely something up with TBR, I was suspicious so decided to find some dataz.
The following numbers were gotten from tool tips; however a quick combat test showed the tooltip is pretty close to the average damage TBR will actually do.
So 99 skill points is around a 196% damage boost, much higher than the previous 49%. The addition of the bonus not being linear makes things a bit more absurd once you start adding in consoles.
Is not SFM, PH or BFI enough of a buff to counter a Tac buffed TBR?
I ask because I rarely encountered this Tactic and after being caugh offgaurd once it seemed to above measures worked against secondary attempts.
Mike Miller, Dev. I want to have your children < Imagine the avatar with a sexy smile>! I love the new KDF content that much. < avatar winks>. I feel we owe you one for the good work.
No.
Ok, how about some gourmet roasted coffee, whole bean fresh Kenyan?

PH negates the dmg, but not many people carry it. Even TBR 1 on tac - escort does respectable dmg now.
I'm just curious how changes like this happen ? no feedback, no patch notes, just boom. Does the left hand knows what the right hand is doing at Cryptic ?
