Yeah, I know, ship does not matter (<yoda>or does it, hmm</yoda>), but young ones will not know it. And Star Cruiser is not that bad, even if little outdated
Becoming a good healer is a progressive thing, no one should expect to instantly have all the EC in the world and get/do everything that is mentioned, it takes time, green doffs are fine, normal ships are fine, but when/if the player gets enough EC and is committed to being a healer, then upgrade

Thanks so much for the work - there are always tons of requests about how to set up Sci healers, and so many answers. Pretty sure I've subscribed to them all.

Even though I do not play PvP, I think this guide is 'PvP/PvE agnostic' and applies to all team play. Although I've been in the game since open beta, I am still uncomfortable in teams trying to be a healer. It seems that most groups are all about DPS, and feel like you're somehow putting them down to try to heal them. Hence, Section 6, The Birds and the Bees, is the most helpful to me in terms of 'sucking it up' and taking the role, even if mistakes are made.

I definitely need a lot of practice, but this is a great guide for this newbie LTS from beta. Thanks for a great compendium.

Awwww, I'm glad you got something out of it! Good luck healing those team mates!
