I like the changes to the UI in general. I like seeing what I will be getting from a completed duty officer mission. It can be very userful in the case of a full crew and a completed recruitment mission. You can now see if you got a uncommon or better crewman out of it. Also the colonist pickup now show a stack of 5 rather than a row.
With the assignment queue I like being able to see the rewards after I have accepted the mission. It makes it easier to prioritize what I want to do. There are a couple of other tweaks that I like that do not come to mind at the moment.
