The title of this post says it all really.

I have another thread debating about the Fleet Regent and Fleet Excelsior but in short.

Tier 1: Heavy Cruiser, Fleet Heavy Cruiser

Tier 2: Star Cruiser, Fleet Star Cruiser

Tier 3 --------???

Tier 4: Galaxy and Fleet Galaxy

Tier 5 Odyssey

Also haven't checked if no escorts or science vessels missing at any other lvls nor have I made a comparison with Klingon Shipyard class availability. Please feel to highlight any other class omissions at other shipyard level.

Leaving aside which cruiser, quite simply why is there no cruiser option? Has Cryptic/Dev ever referenced this one of there various posts, interviews and game announcements? Is this another oversight by Devs and will it be corrected, fixed or amended. There is no sign of cruisers at this level even over on tribble.

Why? Can somebody explain what is happening here?

Personally if a Fleet Regent was rolled out that's a Fleet Module sale right there. The idea of a Fleet Excelsior whilst a mixed marmite response certainly indicated there'd be some uptake.

In all seriousness, though, since the Excelsior's unique ability was relegated to a console, at least the console free retrofit should be available in the fleet shipyard. So yeah, devs done goofed.

I've almost finished the fleet ship chart I'm creating, and also noticed there isn't a Science ship on Tier 4 either.

You answered your own question. There is no cruiser at the moment that would fit. And why does every starbase tier need a cruiser? I don't think there is any greater plan for ships and their tier level or why would the worst cruiser setup you could imagine be a T4? Just look at the KDF starbase and you'll see that Cryptic probably just added ships to different tiers at random. Don't let me get started about shield mods and hull of T2 and T3 retrofits.

You are searching for a logic where non can be found.

No cruiser that would fit the slot? Sure there is! It's called the Assault Cruiser! Surely, they only (somewhat) recently released a Refit variant on the C-store, but there was a Fleet variant on the Tribble server when Season 6 was being developed.

That, or a Fleet Excelsior would be nice.

This is incorrect, Excelsior's Transwarp is tied to the ship - the Transwarp Computer console merely gives a faster TW cooldown and modifiers to Warp Core Efficiency.

There are 2 kdf fleet BoP. So i think having 1 tier with out cruiser is ok.

Well, Fleet Advanced Research Vessel Retrofit can be considered cruiser-ish. It's still one of the better tanks in the game, frequently used by engineers in PvP.

But seriously, there's just not many more cruisers left. The Excelsior has its issue of integrated Transwarp, which Cryptic is against giving away for "free" in a Fleet ship, while Fleet Cruiser Retrofit simply won't happen due to its size.

But expect (Fleet) Ambassador to appear on this tier. The ship is pretty much confirmed to be the 3rd anniversary feature episode event goodie (not saying it'll be free) and assuming there would be a fleet version it would probably appear on Tier 3, before Tier 4 Galaxy.

And the Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit was Tier 5 before it was removed from Tribble, FYI.
