...is that it's nice to hop back into fleet actions again and get adequate rewards for participation. A little lengthy and tedious perhaps, but there's something about that mass group camaraderie while you're mowing down those Klingons or Romulans that makes it worthwhile.
But, these missions could use more touching up. They feel very out of date. For example, in Starbase 24, players are lured towards the Starbase to attack Klingon ships, but when the next phase kicks in everyone is surrounded by a billion vor'cha's and negh'vars. And the waiting for respawns in Klingon Scout Force in order to advance to the next phase is just silly.
Also, bring back Siege of DS9. And make sure Gekli Feeding Grounds stays out of the game...forever.

They need to be made harder if they're going to be the prominent centerpiece of this fantastically designed disaster. They are so braindead easy that I could literally slam my head on the keyboard.
I hope the reward system is different than it was last time I was in one (S3?). Where the top DPS (aka some guy in an escort) got the only decent loot and everyone else got an Aux Battery for their 20mins of work.
Yes, SB 24 is a mindless Zerg. You massacre the BoPs and fighters and then you can hardly escape because you got isometric charge farting negVarghs on your teil... about 100 of them all chain attacking 10 players!
Doesn't matter, you respawn without any sort of team play and once more into the fray!
Boring.
I am looking forward to replaying breaking the planet, but only with with premade teams that know to stick together and actually pull this very well designed group mission off.
Unfortunately, the mission doesn't lend itself well to grinding because it is pretty time intensive.
And soloing it among strangers is not really what it was made for.
Originally, at launch, those missions were made for fleets as about the only thing that would give the fleets some purpose beyond a shared bank.
Short of a redesign you can't turn them into the main grind playground for solo players.

It's not. It's good news if your a high damage guy though, I've pulled down about a dozen Mk XI purple consoles in the last couple hours.
Does anyone actually think FA are going to be fun enough to maintain interest? We will see rapid proliferation of FA farming builds, a steady grinding, and inevitable fall off as the player base is worn down by the overwhelming boredom of the FAs.
