My only complaint about the vesta is that it's got the blue rainbow on the saucer and there's nothing you can do except make it other shades of blue.
If you change the Material to something other than the "Vesta" option you can get the standard colors, though you'll lose the custom saucer/hull pattern (which is what you want anyway if I read you correctly, so it shouldn't matter).
ships aren't too expensive ...
I bought the Armitage, the Thunderchild and the Escort Refit with the Dilithium Exchange only.
in this game unlike the others, you can have evertything without spending money, even if it is more challenging.
This, essentially. If you haven't got the money, odds are you've got the time to invest instead, since jobs you know... give you money? Then it's just down to how much you're willing to part with to enhance your fun time.
It's pretty awesome that there's almost nothing in this game that can't be had for free, vet rewards not withstanding.
All games older than about a year or two costs 50 $ or less ! STO is from 2010...
If each ship is worth 25 $ how much should the game cost if we say 3 ships x 4 tiers x 2 factions ?
24 x 25 dollars ?
Hats off to you if you feel paying the price of a full game for one pity little item is you making a bargin
Your example is not realistic. You can't compare a boxed game from 2010. The STO from 2010 to now, are two completely different games and the available content like Christmas events and the like still cost money to produce and make. It's like me saying freelancer
only cost me x dollars but two years down the track it's the same game. Unlike Sto with new episodes, new content, new items, new ships. Do you not think this comes from no where?
