Will the designers of this ground event please stand up and accept recognition for building the best ground fleet action I have ever had the pleasure of playing!

The mission had all the feel of the episode, and such a reprieve from the nickel and dime fights vs the borg. Because the salt vampires had only a limited range attack I did not 'mind' when they held me with their drain power. And because I was not getting one shotted I did not mind when an Alpha would drop kick a 3rd of my life off me.

Combined with the new combat system(got to love elite fleet weapons)this was the mission I've always hoped for in STO!

Very well done and Thank You!

It is pretty much the only good thing to come out of season 7 imo

I've only played this the once so far but i really enjoyed it. But for some reason with how slow the sprint speed is it's hard to help other groups like in the 4 team fleetbase defense.

No doubt that mission is gold.Of course due to no rewards ,drops or anything that mission is not famous enough and I have to wait alot to get 20 people to pug ,but when I do I enjoy it each time.

I got a very ST: Insurrection feel from this, it reminded me of seeing Picard et al. evacuating the Ba'Ku from to the mountains and being attacked en route by the nefarious Son'a drones. All that was missing was Worf's purple bazooka!

The actual shuttle evacuations at the end was the icing on the cake for me. I thoroughly enjoy seeing things happen INGAME and not in a dialogue window.

There are a few plotholes though, but then it wouldn't make a good mission if we could beam down security teams from our ships, salt vats for distraction, ample materials to reinforce the buildings or even evac the settlers with mass-transports.

Just out of curiosity I played this for the first time last night and I have to say I was pleasantly suprised!

I'll queue for this again tonight with fleet weapon and salt lick at the ready!
