# 1 Re-post Changes Out Of Fear
11-21-2012, 06:59 AM
We will also be running a full month of Feature Episode Replay where all the limited time rewards from all four series will be available all month long. So if you've got some new characters that need these special items, December is going to be your chance to catch up.

Wash, Rinse, Repeat.....

Omega Conversion Crates can be opened immediately.

...TRANSLATION: The revolt has been postponed.

The anniversary event will also offer a new special free ship for both Fed and Kdf players much like we gave away the Odyssey during last year's event.

No tribble. I'm hurt. What's that smell? I.......I kinda think it smells like a shuttle!

I'm predicting a no frills Ambassador followed by a C-Store or Fleet version, accompanied by a "Lost Era" Klingon ship.

Much like the Odyssey's "no frills" version.

You're probably right. I'd like to see a new slick, fast, nimble escort similar to the Defiant, like how the Odyssey is a suped-up star cruiser.

But they wouldn't give everyone an escort, because this game is all about the cruisers.

We don't know much about the Enterprise-C aside from the fact that she took a beating.

But ships closer to the TOS era are more nimble so I'm not certain she'll be a cruiser.

There's a strong rationale for something else here, especially since she looks more nimble than the Excelsior that preceded her and was built in the build-up to the Federation-Cardassian war.

My prediction for the Ambassador is actually that she'd be something like an Eng-heavy spin on the Chimera Destroyer.

Let's say:

BOs:
Cmdr Eng, Lt. Cmdr Eng, Lt. Tac, Ens Sci, Lt. Universal

Consoles:
3 Tac, 4 Eng, 2 Sci

Turnrate: 14-15
Hull: 6.900
Shield Modifier: 0.9

Weapons: 4 fore, 3 aft
Maybe as a novelty, subsystem targeting instead of cannons.

Kindof an inverse Vesta with a Destroyer-like set of qualities in that it's a Destroyer beam boat type config.

5 Eng consoles on the Fleet/C-Store version.

Maybe comes with a console that diverts energy damage to the hull into bonus damage dealt, with an emergency button that has a "bubble" like effect, like the Vesta bonus. Maybe also includes phaser weapons that are Accx2 Dmg and which draw from engine power. like the Vesta's Aux cannons. Magenta hue like the WoK Federation weapons. MAYBE a photon torpedo that has a WoK era look to it.

Yeah, the Ambassador probably makes the most sense(being a prestigious bearer of the Enterprise name) - not sure what the Klingon counterpart would be though..

There's also rumor of a second Andorian ship, but that could be a companion small craft or even false entirely. Plus, I highly doubt the holiday ship will be a non-neutral one.

Breen and Hirogen both had fairly well represented ships and haven't shown up as playable yet. I highly doubt we'd get a Romulan or Reman ship, as that would probably interfere with ever getting them as a 'playable mini faction'(although something a bit more obscure, like the Griffin or Shadow class, might be neat). Other than that, I'm not really sure.. perhaps an 8472/Undine ship?

Technically, almost every ship in Trek is a cruiser. Cryptic has made more distinctions for gameplay and could continue to do so with the Ambassador.

I'm not really sure how being able to open the omega conversion crate right now changes a whole lot. I think I've needed to do...4 estfs maybe to get the marks I've needed to progress so far (per character obviously).

Yes, I guess I can extract my dilithium or buy some mk X gear, but I don't think it matters all that much. The conversion rate to make the crate was a much more serious problem than being able to open it immediately vs tier 3 (tier 5 was bad, tier 3 ok).

You are not getting a FAT cruiser with a turn rate that is superior to the Excelsior, Soverign, Vesta, Intrepid and pretty much every single non-Escort ship in the game.

You see the Excelsior? its not going to out maneuver it.
