How about reputation xp crates;

5,000, 10,000, 20,000 denominations - they would require a special project to use which would still have a timer, but they would allow players to pay to avoid the grinding process entirely.

5,000 reputation xp : 500 zen, 40 hour timer, usable for Omega or Romulan, occupies the upgrade slot on the rep system as a special project.

10,000 reputation xp : 1,000 zen, 80 hour timer, usable for Omega or Romulan, occupies the upgrade slot on the rep system as a special project.

20,000 reputation xp : 2,000 zen, 160 hour timer, usable for Omega or Romulan, occupies the upgrade slot on the rep system as a special project.

Very little coding required to create.

I think a Reputation Boost would be more likely than a crate of Reputation.

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.
