Ah, you must've met some members from the orthodontic wing of Starfleet. Yes, at least a couple've moved from Drozana to mining and sci spamming the KDF spawn in Ker'rat so they kill you before you're even given control of your ship. Of course, given that that is a clear exploit, the best you can do is report to GM's and move on. Make sure to include (with date and time) copies of any offensive or taunting chat, as well.

I would have shot them but I forgot to add they all used AMS as well... It was a bad day on the Pluse side I found out I can tank 6 TCD's before I die a painful death

It's not necessarely a BAD Idea.. just probobly not in good form right now.. How ever, I do find it to be entertaining. Especially if they were all Tac Officers..

Personally how ever, I'd recommend sticking to Escorts, or other ships that allow Universal Commander slots besides the Recluse Carrier.

Tractor beam repulsors, grav well, tyken's rift, charged particle burst, cannon scatter volley or fire at will would have neutralized all their dps. And would've been sort of funny. Oh! Almost forgot: aceton assimilator. Set it and forget it, watch the mines just disappear lol.
