Slow patching in the launcher
A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally
However, I am doing the Cardassian story arc right now.
Hmm, some nice missions there.
However, in STOs PvE missions (with only a few exceptions) damage is king, which means escorts. So as a rule of thumb, the more DPS you bring the faster and easier those missions will be. Leveling with cruisers or sci ships is nice to learn some basics about these ship classes, but don't think it will prepare you for stuff like PvP.
Fly whatever suits your playstyle, you are here for fun aren't you

Slot two boffs with the SAME power and examine the cool down
meanwhile Escorts get chewed up VERY badly in the cardassian missions
Escort jocks always THINK they are Flash Gordon
Actually you are Arnold Rimmer
Dude, go and read the wiki (yes, I really said that ) or actually have a look at how things work in-game. It doesn't matter if you train Bill and Bob with 1 copy of EPtS each or only Bill with 2 copies.
To even think this is just ridiculous.

Sollvax, I honestly LOLed at that. The STO wiki happens to be correct on its info. And do you know how well escorts tank? Escorts will carry you through any solo mission, unless you're running a fail build.
I completed a two-man ISE, CSE, KASE, and HSE. We are the Borg. Irrelevancy is irrelevant.
If you say banana slowly, you can hear the word gullible in it.
There's no Q in Star Trek.
and remember Dps is only worth ANYTHING if you are able to survive long enough to fire
I'm not responsible for your or other peoples failboats trollvax. Just 1 thing and you should really think about that: before giving advice in the Academy and Shipyard subforums check your basics and what you really know about this game before spreading false information. There are players who are new to this game and some of them might even be interested to learn a couple things. You do them no good but ignoring simple game mechanics like shared and global cooldowns.

An escort. Doesn't matter which one exactly, an escort will get it done faster and you won't have trouble with anything PvE-related.
I would disagree with this completely. In groups escorts are great. But they lack the tanking needed on your own. How about the escorts main rival for DPS: the Atrox carrier. Tanks like a cruiser, has the firepower of an escort. and has the cool abilities and shields bonuses of a sci ship. I have the Atrox, and I have used escorts. I still use the Atrox over every ship in the game.
Slot Two boffs with the SAME power (Tac team , eng team etc most work)
You will notice Two cool down timers that are not the same
And anyone who wants to check this please do so
otherwise forget it
go with an escort and LOSE like all the other Escort trapped people
This is not about PVP its about missions
But hell why do I even try to help
theres always an escort jock trying to mess people up
Ok Goofy last try. Of course there is a shorter cooldown on the second copy. That's why you cycle 2 copies of Emergency Power to Shields or even 2xEPtS and 2xEPtW together for constant uptime.
It doesn't matter at all (!!!) if these 2 copies are on the same or two different bridge officers. Believe it or not, but stop telling people nonesense. Whatever mixture of rank 1, 2 or 3 of an ability you use is not important at all for cooldowns.
You simple do not know anything reasonable about game mechanics and basic ship building. This is not a discussion about PvE vs PvP or your hatred of PvP. As you clearly see on yourself a bad build (in this case escorts) can even fail on PvE. Actually I'm not quite sure why it is so difficult to survive, all you need is a tac team and EPtS and maybe half a brain so you don't jump right in the middle of an enemy group that will shred you.
There are as many failscorts as there are fail cruisers. Both die in seconds, both will deal close to zero damage even if they stay alive.

Also, I noticed this a little too Sollvax...

I'm getting a feeling we are moving far far away from the threads topic. Sorry OP
I'd really suggest you are posting your escort build in a separate thread in the shipyards or better the PvP forums or go for a read before you do so. If the Atrox is your main rival for escort damage, there is something more than wrong and I'm sure people will be happy to make suggestions.
