Can anyone recommend a good ship and fit for a science officer to solo missions?

Any ship can excel for solo missions, but... if you already have your vice admiral ship, why not check out one of the mirror universe ships? You should find them on the exchange, and can easily get a cruiser. (Star cruiser may be a neat change of pace for your sci!) and they aren't too pricy. Its tanky, can do decent damage if outfitted properly and seems like the type of ship that would be out on its own.

An escort. Doesn't matter which one exactly, an escort will get it done faster and you won't have trouble with anything PvE-related.

Escorts SOLO are not a good idea for the cardassian story arc

I bought the mirror star cruiser and deep space sci vessels. I'm not sure I'm setting up the Star Cruiser correctly though because I popped in it several times on its first outing with New Romulus fleet patrols.

This statement is not a surprise for someone who thinks Emergency Powers on different BOs gives cooldown reduction

He wants to know about which ship is best at soloing stuff and that's escorts. They get the job done in an acceptable timeframe. If you set up your ship in a good way or as a failboat is a totally different question.

I haven't dipped into the tactical side yet. I might give them a look though. However, I am doing the Cardassian story arc right now.
