***Resolved Issues***
  • "Login failed for unknown reason" error
  • Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
  • Slow patching in the launcher
  • A bug that involved Romulan Liberated Borg captains and their skills once they chose an ally

Our account linking promotion ends next week on December 11th; at the same time, account linking will become non-optional. Link your Cryptic and Perfect World accounts today to receive a special in-game promotional item for one of your STO characters.

They've been saying it would soon become non-optional for some time now. Really, did you expect them to stay separate forever?

They're one company. Trying to remain in denial by pretending they're still two separate entities is...illogical.

Perfect World's acquisition of Cryptic was over 15 months ago. I see no problem with it being mandatory at this point in time.

I did try to link my accounts and i look at the there are linked but in ether game the sto or champans online i could never get the promo stuff every time i tryed it failed telling me its not linked


i dont see me ever getting anything -- just like the freefrom bags i had over 40+ and even get some form the store never get any slot always 2 savalge most of the time why even try

Did you perchance send in a support ticket for that issue?

Important:

I had a bug while trying to link my PWE account and my Cryptic account, because I had actually played STO on my PWE account.

To link properly, I had to create a brand new PWE account that was never logged in game.

So if you have any trouble linking your Cryptic account and an existing PWE account, I advise you to create a new PWE account and link with that one.


I hope everyone will manage to still play STO and get the bonus for linking in time.

I linked my Cryptic account with my newly made STO account and i do not see where to claim the gift pack. Any ideas on how to claim?
